BetLucky Takes To Twitter To Address WV Sports Betting Questions

Up until Wednesday, the BetLucky Sportsbook Twitter account had only posted four tweets. However, it has now increased to a total of 20 tweets.

Throughout the morning, the majority of its time was dedicated to addressing inquiries regarding the current status of three sportsbooks in West Virginia.

Sports bettors are curious about the sudden halt of sports betting operations by the WV mobile sports betting app, as well as its affiliated casino establishments, Mardi Gras Casino and Wheeling Island.

Regrettably, despite BetLucky’s attempts to alleviate customer concerns, the absence of information only added to their unease.

BetLucky responds to customers about WV sports betting closure

BetLucky tweeted for the fifth time on March 9.

There was a period of radio silence until Wednesday morning, when the mobile sportsbook finally responded to its customers. The replies consisted of typical corporate language, as expected.

  • We regret not having a definite answer for you along with some positive updates.
  • There are individuals working tirelessly day and night to find a solution.
  • We understand that this is an inconvenience and offer our sincerest apologies.

Regrettably, BetLucky failed to address the primary inquiries.

  • “Why did this happen?”
  • “What is the estimated time for the mobile app to be restored?”

Instead, BetLucky decided to maintain a general approach in its responses, aiming to reassure customers that it is committed to honoring bets and actively resolving the issue. Most importantly, the company is making a sincere effort to improve its communication, an area that has been lacking since its inception.

We acknowledge your need for answers, and we believe you have every right to them. However, we regret to inform you that we currently do not possess the necessary information. It would be far more detrimental to provide inaccurate details than to postpone until we can provide a reliable solution. We are actively working towards improving our communication and sincerely appreciate your understanding and patience.

BetLucky going forward with modified March Madness plans

Adding to the already perplexing situation, a sports bettor recently claimed that the BetLucky app would be repaired by the upcoming weekend. This assumption was made due to the ongoing advertising campaign for March Madness in West Virginia.

BetLucky wasted no time in debunking that rumor.

“We are excited to announce that the live show at Wheeling Casino is still happening! We have an incredible lineup of entertainment planned in the bar area, and we are committed to delivering a fantastic experience no matter what. Get ready for a wide range of delicious food and drink specials, including $2 beers and $1 dogs, among others. Additionally, we are thrilled to introduce a separate bracket challenge, separate from the sportsbook, to add an extra layer of excitement to the event!”

“We also considered abandoning all our other plans, which we didn’t find favorable. Therefore, we are making the most of our current situation. I acknowledge your frustration, though.”

Just to clarify, the scheduled March Madness celebrations will proceed as planned, but there will be no involvement of sports betting.

As we approach one of the most highly anticipated sports betting events of the year, the consolation prize of being just days away from Selection Sunday and a week away from the first March Madness games feels rather insignificant.

BetLucky responded to a customer who simply desires a betting platform, acknowledging that sports bettors are exceedingly frustrated.

I understand where you’re coming from. The situation is actually more intricate than it seems, and explaining it fully on Twitter is quite challenging. Rest assured, we are actively considering all available alternatives in order to reopen at the earliest opportunity.
