In December, the retail casino revenue in the Mountain State amounted to $7,044,436.80, while online casino gaming in West Virginia generated $10,281,924.40.

December’s online gambling numbers are down from November

In West Virginia, there was a minor decrease in revenue for online casinos from November to December. The online gaming revenue for November amounted to $10,332,772.70, which was $50,848.30 higher than the total revenue recorded in December.

Furthermore, the online casino gaming handle in West Virginia witnessed a decrease of approximately $10.5 million. In December, the total amount wagered by West Virginians was $300,648,752.06, whereas the previous month saw players betting $311,166,800.49.

During the month of December, West Virginia online casinos distributed a total of $290,366,827.66 to fortunate winners. This amount reflects a decrease of approximately $10.47 million when compared to the figures from November.

In November, the total revenue from brick-and-mortar casinos in West Virginia amounted to $7,680,202.81. However, in December, this figure decreased by $635,766.01.

In December, Blackjack dominated as the most favored game, generating a revenue of $2,411,901. However, there was a slight decline of $12,703 compared to the total revenue of November.

In December, the other popular games were roulette, craps, poker, and three-card poker. However, the revenue for all these four games also declined compared to the previous month.

The revenue from West Virginia roulette in December amounted to $700,075, which is $135,853.75 lower than the revenue recorded in November, which stood at $835,928.75.

In terms of casino games, craps experienced the second-largest decrease in revenue from one month to another. Specifically, the revenue generated by craps in December amounted to $645,807, which reflects a decline of $79,301 compared to November’s revenue of $725,108.

In December, the revenue from three-card poker saw a decline of $72,928, reaching a total of $305,538. Comparatively, in November, the three-card poker revenue amounted to $378,476.

In comparison to November’s revenue of $366,672, Poker’s revenue for December fell short at $335,168.
