Online Casino And Sports Betting in PA

Online Casino And Sports Betting in PA

Pennsylvania, West Virginia’s neighbor, joined the growing online sports betting market with the launch of SugarHouse Casinos’ online betting app on May 28, 2019, PlaySugarHouse.com.

PA launched its first sportsbook in Nov. 2018, making it the sixth post-PAPSA state to do so.

All Online casinos in PA, were scheduled to launch on July 15, 2019, but only two made it official on that date: Parx Casino and Hollywood Casino.

The idea behind the simultaneous launch was to allow the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) to focus on launching online sportsbooks, first then transition its efforts to online casinos.

Currently, PA is home to four online casinos, six online sportsbooks, and 12 retail sportsbooks.

Additionally, online poker recently launched in the Garden State when the global poker brand, PokerStars, joined the party.  PokerStars includes a shared wallet and online casino through its partnership with Fox Bet PA.
