New partnership for the WV online gambling industry

The West Virginia online gambling sector added to its growing industry landscape when EveryMatrix and Internet Vikings announced a recent partnership.

According to the agreement, Internet Vikings will present hosting services to EveryMatrix in West Virginia.

Internet Vikings founder and CEO Rickard Vikström said:

“This partnership will benefit us both in multiple ways. It does not just support our client in establishing a reliable foundation in the US. It also allows Internet Vikings to strengthen our positions in conjunction with a prominent iGaming service company such as EveryMatrix.”

It’s a step in the right direction for EveryMatrix, which launched in the US in late October.

EveryMatrix is a business-to-business online gambling software provider company. It provides various online gaming platforms, software, and other products to online casinos, gaming operators, and lotteries. Currently, EveryMatrix has offices in 10 countries and more than 150 clients.

Internet Vikings is a cloud hosting provider and IT service with a specialty in online gambling. The company also provides data, marketing solutions, and domain name management.

Internet Vikings has developed a presence in many other states. Most recently, it became the first hosting provider registered for online gambling in Nevada. Vikström said:

“One must have a solid strategy and establish valuable connections in order to thrive in the US. I believe that our collaboration with EveryMatrix will accelerate this and lay the foundation for working together in other locations in the future.”

Internet Vikings, EveryMatrix new in West Virginia

In August of last year, Internet Vikings launched its cloud hosting services in the Mountaineer State. By doing so, the company was then able to offer licensed internet gambling hosting services to West Virginia operators.

EveryMatrix secured its West Virginia license earlier this year. The West Virginia Lottery Commission granted EveryMatrix its license in May.

“It will take a lot of time and dedication to become a leading supplier of turnkey services for gaming in the US, but this is another crucial step in that direction,” said EveryMatrix president Erik Nyman.

EveryMatrix’s goal is to become a major US player

Earlier this year, Nyman spoke at the SBC Summit North America. At the time, he believed the US market had plenty of untapped potential for players like EveryMatrix. Nyman said:

“My crystal ball is no better than anyone else’s, but I think we will see other players moving into the betting and gaming space. For a company like EveryMatrix who decided to expand into the US last year, we’re finding ourselves in a sweet spot with a large offering of various products. But I do still think that there will be some surprises going forward.”

What to know about West Virginia online gambling

DraftKings was the first real-money online casino to open in West Virginia in July 2020. Since then, a handful of WV online casinos have gone live:

The West Virginia Lottery oversees each online casino in the state.

PointsBet WV Casino is the newest of the bunch, launching in January of this year. It struck a deal with Hollywood Casino in Charles Town. Additionally, WynnBet WV Casino is set to open its doors in the coming months.

West Virginia casino players can gamble on online slots, online video poker, online blackjack, and online roulette. Online table games are permitted as well, such as baccarat, three-card poker, and more.
